Jonas Vingegaard, the Danish all-rounder, moved from Team ColoQuick to Visma-Lease a Bike for 2019 and grew into a rider trusted with GC duties. Before that step, he had raced for Danish domestic teams including Thy Cykle Ring and Odder Cykel Klub. His breakthrough arrived at the Tour de France, where he won the overall title in 2022 and defended it the following year, also taking the mountains classification during that Tour. He has since completed the set of Grand Tour victories, adding the Vuelta a España and the Giro d’Italia, the latter during the current season. Now 29, he continues with the Dutch team, still an all-rounder for stage races. His role blends climbing and time trialling, and he targets the general classification at Grand Tours.
