A missed penalty and a red card changed the first half
Lewis Cook hit the post from the penalty spot before Ebrima Singhateh put Sparta ahead. The home side then lost Guddal in the 38th minute, leaving Bournemouth with a long period against ten players.

The visitors did not score immediately, but they kept the pitch wide and forced Sparta to defend repeated changes of direction. That patience became more useful as the home side tired.
The substitutes gave Bournemouth a sharper attack
Adams equalised with a first-time finish after the interval. Evanilson completed the comeback in the 80th minute, and Rayan added the third with a powerful late strike from distance.
The match was played on 5 November. Bournemouth moved to the top of the Europa League table and extended its winning run to seven games in all competitions.
The comeback showed depth as well as quality
Eight changes had been made to the starting side, but the team still found answers when the original plan became difficult. The bench provided energy without removing control from midfield.
Bournemouth must still avoid the loose moments that allowed Sparta to score first. The response was excellent, yet stronger opponents may not offer a full half with one fewer player.
The coaching staff can also take confidence from the rotation. A changed side maintained the same basic principles and the replacements improved the match instead of simply protecting tired starters.
