Twenty-two pole positions from 93 premier-class starts is a qualifying strike rate few riders can match, and it explains why Jorge Martín so often begins a Grand Prix already ahead of his rivals. Add 38 podiums, nine wins and one world championship, and the 28-year-old Spaniard has a CV most of the grid would envy. His Aprilia carries the number 89.
The route up ran through Aspar Racing Team from 2015, then Gresini Racing, then Ajo Motorsport. Pramac Racing gave him his MotoGP seat in 2021 and kept him for the years that followed, before Aprilia Racing signed him for 2024. He is still with the Italian factory in the current 2026 season.
