Barcelona ended O Parrulo Ferrol’s unbeaten Liga Prime Futsal start with a 6-1 win at the Palau Blaugrana, with Catela scoring twice as the hosts moved top of the table at least temporarily.
The advanced seventh-round fixture was effectively decided before half-time. Barcelona scored four times before the interval and added a fifth shortly after the restart, leaving O Parrulo unable to build on the seven points they had collected from their opening three league matches.
Catela opened the scoring in the first minute, converting after an early sequence in which Barcelona had already created danger. Barcelona had established a 3-0 lead after Caio César lost possession, according to the Liga Prime Futsal report and Barcelona’s match account.
Roger Garcia then scored Barcelona’s fourth before the break. The club said it was the first-team goal for the player, who finished high after a move down the flank.
Barcelona had begun the match without Pito and Matheus, with the league report identifying both as absentees, but the home side maintained control through the opening period and took a four-goal advantage into the interval.

O Parrulo did create moments of danger during the first half. Their club reported that Novoa supplied a chance for Lucas Farias, while Rikelme also tested the Barcelona defence after receiving a pass from Rubén Orzáez. Miquel Feixas prevented those opportunities from changing the course of the match, according to the Ferrol account. Barcelona’s report also said Touré struck the post before the home side extended their lead, underlining the volume of chances around the opening goals.
Catela’s second puts Barcelona out of reach
Catela completed his brace early in the second half, making it 5-0 after a combination close to the O Parrulo area. Novoa responded immediately for the visitors, cutting inside and beating Miquel Feixas with a low strike for 5-1.
That goal provided O Parrulo with their only score, although their report said they continued to press and create opportunities as the match moved into its later stages. Barcelona’s account said the tempo subsequently fell after the rapid exchange of goals.
Brayan was sent off for O Parrulo. Both the official league report and the Ferrol club said the visitors did not concede during the ensuing two-minute spell at a numerical disadvantage, a defensive effort which prevented the scoreline increasing immediately.

Barcelona nevertheless completed the result in the closing seconds. Higor scored from a corner to make it 6-1, with the official league account describing the goal as one which secured top spot for Barcelona for at least several days.
Unbeaten start halted in emphatic fashion
The result represented a sharp change of pace for O Parrulo, who had travelled to Barcelona unbeaten and level with their hosts on seven points from nine available, according to Barcelona’s report. Their early-season return had placed them fifth after the defeat, their own club said, but the trip to the Palau exposed the difficulty of recovering once Barcelona established an early lead.
For Barcelona, the significance lay not only in the margin but in the distribution of the goals. Catela supplied two, while Roger Garcia and Higor also contributed as the hosts built and maintained their advantage despite O Parrulo’s brief improved spell after Novoa’s goal.
The scoreline also gave Roger Garcia a notable individual moment. His finish made the contest 4-0 before half-time and marked his first goal for Barcelona’s senior side, according to the club.
O Parrulo’s unbeaten run is over, while Barcelona have set the early league pace following a performance which the official competition report said was built on an incontestable start.
