Jiří Procházka will meet unbeaten light-heavyweight Navajo Stirling in the five-round main event of UFC Qatar on Saturday 21 November, with the promotion confirming nine fights for its Paramount+ card in Doha.
The former UFC light-heavyweight champion Procházka is scheduled to face Stirling in a light-heavyweight main event at ABHA Arena. ESPN reported that it will be Procházka’s second appearance of the year and his first since Carlos Ulberg stopped him in the first round of their April title fight.
The matchup puts an established former champion against a contender who has yet to lose. Stirling has an 11-0 record, according to ESPN and MMA Mania, while Cageside Press reported that he has won six UFC bouts and recently defeated former champion Jan Błachowicz.
The stakes at the top of the division are heightened by Ulberg’s absence. ESPN reported that the current champion underwent surgery on a torn ACL after the Procházka fight and is out for the rest of the year. That does not guarantee a title shot for either man, but a victory in Doha would provide a timely result in a division whose champion is unavailable for the remainder of 2026.

A major return for Procházka
Procházka enters the bout after a difficult title defeat in April. ESPN reported that Ulberg sustained a knee injury early in that contest but went on to knock out Procházka in the opening round.
For Stirling, the main event represents the largest confirmed assignment of his career. Cageside Press described Stirling as a fast-rising contender and reported that his winning UFC run includes three finishes. His victory over Błachowicz, reported by ESPN, gives the 11-0 fighter a notable former champion on his record before he faces another in Procházka.
ESPN lists Procházka’s record as 32-6-1, while Stirling brings an 11-0 record into the contest. The fight is scheduled for five rounds. MMA Mania assessed the result as likely to affect the short list of potential challengers when Ulberg returns. That remains an assessment rather than a UFC title-shot announcement, but the pairing gives both fighters a direct opportunity to strengthen their standing at light-heavyweight.
Stirling’s win over Błachowicz was reported by ESPN as a stoppage, while Cageside Press said his six UFC victories included three finishes. Those results provide the unbeaten contender with an established run in the promotion before his meeting with Procházka, whose previous appearance came in a vacant-title fight. The UFC’s announcement confirms the contest and its place atop the Qatar event.

Sterling-Vallejos co-main confirmed
Former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will face Kevin Vallejos in the featherweight co-main event. ESPN reported that Sterling moved to 145lb in 2024, while MMA Mania identified Vallejos as a top-10 featherweight.
ESPN lists Sterling at 26-5 and Vallejos at 18-1. Cageside Press reported that Vallejos had recent wins over Giga Chikadze and Josh Emmett before being matched with Sterling. The same source said Sterling most recently competed in April, when he earned a decision win over Youssef Zalal.
The card also includes lightweight Dan Hooker against former featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega. In another established pairing, flyweights Asu Almabayev and Kyoji Horiguchi are scheduled to meet.
The remaining announced contests add Jared Cannonier against Ikram Aliskerov, Aleksandre Topuria against Santiago Luna, Shamil Gaziev against Tallison Teixeira, Amir Albazi against Alessandro Costa, and Jake Matthews against Akbar Abdullaev.
