MimaIto
Mima Ito combines T.League club table tennis with Nissay Red Elf and an ITTF ranking of eighth, backed by Japan's Medal with Purple Ribbon.
Ito at a glance
Mima Ito holds the Medal with Purple Ribbon, a Japanese national honour, and her highest ITTF placing was second in April 2020. Those two markers sit either side of the usual table tennis scoreboard: one recognises a career's contribution to the sport in Japan, the other captures how close she came to the top of the women's singles ranking. She is 25.
Today she splits her table tennis between the ITTF circuit and Nissay Red Elf in the T.League, the Japanese club she joined in 2022. Her ITTF ranking stands at eighth. With the 2026 season underway, she continues with Nittaku equipment: an Acoustic Carbon blade plus Moristo SP and Fastarc G-1 rubbers, chosen for a counter-driving style.
