VictorHedman
Swedish defenceman Victor Hedman has spent his whole club career with the Tampa Bay Lightning and won the Norris and Conn Smythe trophies.
Hedman explained
Victor Hedman has given Swedish hockey a durable presence on NHL blue lines, building an entire club career with the Tampa Bay Lightning while also wearing Sweden's colours at international level. He won the James Norris Memorial Trophy and the Conn Smythe Trophy, and the two strands of that career, club and country, have run in parallel throughout his career.
In the 2025/26 season he is still on the Tampa Bay blue line, the only club he has represented in the NHL. Those years have brought 1,164 games and 811 points, and the balance of that scoring is a defenceman's: assists sit well ahead of goals, the mark of a player who makes things happen for others rather than finishing the move himself.
